On April 16, the SFMS Concert and Symphonic Bands participated in the UIL Concert and Sightreading Evaluation at Huntsville High School. Each ensemble performed a prepared concert for three judges and learned a new piece in just seven minutes to perform for an additional panel.
Both bands earned the highest possible ratings from all six judges, receiving the UIL Sweepstakes Trophy.
Beyond their musical success, these students represented Cleveland ISD with poise, focus, and pride throughout the day. Congratulations to these outstanding young musicians.
